Azra Guidelines for Intravenous Anticoagulation
Azra does put out guidelines and they do make recommendations based on whether a block is deep or superficial. If you were able to compress any hematoma that you may accidentally cause, then it is superficial. However, take caution with the infraclavicular block, which can technically be deep and difficult to compress. It's the same guidelines as with the single shot block based on compressibility as well as vascularity in the area. So we've got both deep and superficial blocks. Is that right? Of the upper extremity? Yes.
