Alex's Life and Career
Alex is an assistant professor at the Freiland Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech Carilion School. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Sweetbriar College and her PhD in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan. Alex worked as a visiting postdoctoral fellow in the Translational Neuropsychology Group at the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research in Cologne, Germany. And she served as an associate research scientist in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University before accepting her current position.
