EF Could Work as a for Profit
EF started as a not for profit and the reason that we stopped was that we couldn't create a business model that would allow us to scale. Now EF can do 800 people a year across six locations across three continents so profit driven companies doesn't mean evil but I think it enables scale. The challenge is that often by being a not profit I think sometimes people believe that excuses the need for a business model. But whatever you are running has to have a business model which scales with your customer.
