BPD - Is There a Dysregulation of the Amygdala?

The amygdala is a people with BPD are actually a little bit smaller. So what that sort of means is that if something bad happens to me, it may take me 10 seconds or 15 seconds to get really angry. Whereas someone with BPD will get angry within a single second. The other thing that we know about the brains of people with B PD is that they experience those negative emotions for longer than someone who doesn't have BPD. We also have evidence that there's a dysregulation of the stress system.
