I would argue that India should abstaining is one thing. It's a bit passive and raising concerns in Samarkhand is better than nothing, but it's not a whole lot. The China factor is something that really should concern India because of the sort of the corollary of a Putin victory in Ukraine. And as to the values piece, being a member of the P5 doesn't mean that India would have to agree with the West on every issue or indeed any issue necessarily.
