As of right now, there are four members of the Pac-12. Apple wanted to do a football deal that was kinda like the MLS deal and they got really close. The linear TV giant Fox panicked and had to pony up way more money for Oregon and Washington. They were ready to swoop in and pick off all these teams cheap.
