CHAPTER

Is There a Nomological Network?

evolutionary psychology might allow us to sit rate, eventually, into normological nethwards. We say that something is real if we can see it, taste it, smell it, touch it and hear it. Each of those senses relies on a different set of physical phenomena so they're unlikely to be correlated randomly. Once we've established the reality of something using our five senses, then we consult with other people to see if we can find agreement on the phenomenon. And then we assume that if my five senses and or five senses report the same thing, specially if there's fifty of us, and not just two, then probably that thing is real.
