Is Dexmeditomidine the Best Treatment for Puritis?

The most common exam questions are going to get about its effects on the CNS and CV systems. Dexmeditomidine, it's a highly selective alpha two agonist has a faster onset and shorter duration of action compared with clonidine. Some people will use it along with their propofol, maybe even with ketamine etc. as part of their Tiva. But then you're more likely to get hypotension.
