California, oregon and washington all have state laws that have been intended to make it easier for home owners to build accessory dwelling units. In los angeles, an cular has seen a big increase in accessory dwelling unit permitting and construction. It's wonderful that accessory dwelling units are taking off as a housing option in los angeles but it's also a reflection that los angeles is making it really difficult to build more typical types of housing.
