What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains
Two thousand ten was also the year that nicholas carr published what the internet is doing to our brains. Carr had noticed that spending more time on line had changed his habits of attention as a reader and a writer. The way we interact with the internet, he said, re wires our brains. Web surfing makes us shallow thinkers - all this breaking up our attention prevents information from getting from working memory to long term memory.
