The Temple of Jubilee
In leviticus, chapter 25, verses eight to ten, the law of the jubilee is recorded for us. The extensive measurement of the temple city and land in this and the chapters that follow, serve to indicate the spread of holy status on the immediate realm of the temple itself. When reading these chapters of ezekiel it is important to bear in mind that it is sacred space that is usually measured.
