How Do You Know You Want to Be a Comedian?
I hadn't written a joke until I was 25. The thing that I'm good at is getting ideas across and making people laugh has been such an important part of my life. It wasn't a particularly happy home, but I think comedians often have to make things okay within their family. And then it was about kind of, when you obviously, your life is understood backwards, it's lived forwards, and it's understood in the rear view. But looking back, it was obvious, of course, that's what you're going to be good at. You're good at, you know, within friendship groups, within family, and makingpeople laugh, and making things okay.
