The Importance of Patterns in Languages

I've been thinking a lot about what it is people make. I think I'm fascinated with these beginning students who are forced forced by law and decree to create a language. And so I've been really interested in watching the patterns that emerge. In these little languages that people build for me, they've got lots of similarities. Everybody's word for friend is heart person. everybody's word for son is daylight. Lots of people have polypsomy with seed and egg. That's really, really, really popular.
