The more we need to rely on self regulation, the more we're going to use it up. Reducing stress and getting a good night's sleep are absolutely going to help with our levels of executive function. Making sure that we've eaten and keeping hydrated also helps. Taking periodic breaks throughout the day, getting regular exercise and doing things like meditation can help restore our ability to self regulate.
