The Importance of Custom CSS in a Template
A lot of people could start with a template, but it's very easy for that to go kind of wrong. And then they need some help, which is often custom code. The templating system only works within the boundaries of what it's designed to do. But you are right, if you want it to be perfect, I imagine the whole template system is not going to be satisfactory. You are going to have to get into the weeds of it.
