The Concept of Bad Faith in the Notebooks for an Ethics
Sartre's classic description of the anti semite is the person who believes that their actions are like the same way that you would pick up a rock and throw it into a pond or something. Beauvoir never quite accepts that as the definition of bad faith, so there is some open debate in Beauvoir scholarship about what exactly she was getting at. She does have a problem with treating something as a thing right there's aspects of that that are in there but she also if you reconstruct the argument I'm still writing about ethics of ambiguity trying to pick up these threads.
