The Relationship Between Police and Black Lives Matters

Police brutality is often remembered as a cause of riots and uprisings, but they're kind of intimately connected. In the 19 sixties, that also was considered a badge of ofn quality, a badge of a subordinated citizenship. And when you couple that with the conditions that had been allowed to grow and fester in black communities then you were creating a situation that was very difficult for african americans to confront outside of explosive political protest. All of those things, the kind of poverty, under employment, the sub standard housing, d police that were there to hold it all together finally boiled over and exploded.
