The Human Adaptation for Language Is Like the Human Affection for Imagery
Evolution appears to be an inveterate tinkerer. We've got a good, solid mammalian system for perceiving that's taken hundreds of lions of years to evolve. If language works that same way, then it ought to rely on systems for perception and systems for action as well.
