Sylvia Swanson and Constance Bennett
Gloria Swanson was one of the biggest film stars in the world, and certainly the most glamorous. She had been that way since 1919, when her role in Cecil B. DeMille's male and female cemented her fame. Bennett arrived at Pathé immediately resenting Swanson's Queen Lee status. Known best for her later roles in What Price Hollywood and Talker, she also came with a reputation for being prickly and argumentative.
