The New York Times in their review of your book called it a beautiful homage to a neglected sea. Native people have lived all around the Gulf of Mexico dating back to 8 to 10,000 years. Those very healthy estuarine environments were a principal's food source for many of those groups. And we'll get into more ways we've neglected this precious natural resource.
