What's the Hardest Thing About Fiction?

It's like in fiction, everything has to make sense. But in nonfiction, it doesn't. Like you're watching a documentary about someone and they do something completely out of character. If they do something that makes absolutely no sense, if they betray someone, who they've kind of spent their whole life loyal to, it's like, this is a more interesting person. People are like, that couldn't work. That would never happen. The hardest thing about fiction is that you get a makeup story. And yet it can never have kind of the logical leap that happened all the time in life. It's like the Eagles documentary. They basically steal Hotel California from Don Felder.
