What's the Difference Between Church and Church?

The story goes that Bronson was in Detroit and he walked west into the woods. He watched, it's 140 miles walk till he got to any kind of clearing. There's this, we're not quite sure why, but he definitely left town at one stage. And so when they changed the name, apparently it hurt him so much that he died. They have gone by a lot of different names. It used to be called the Celery City. Someone came over and grew celery there. But you never know if people were actually called that at the time?
