Octopus Life Cycles - Is There a Difference?

There is some kind of self destruction in place for a natural octopus death right after birth. But the strangest part is that not all octopuses actually do this. They just kind of go about their lives again after giving birth. And especially when you get into the deep ocean, ones, there species of octopus we understand so little. I think if an octopus had even like half a human life ban we would be able to toast the knowledge off the charts.
