How to Do a Non-Adcental Trauma Evaluation
There are two main categories of things that you're looking for when you're doing a workup. Is there an underlying medical condition that's predisposing or mimicking this and are there other injuries? There can also be what we call occult injuries, which are not clinically detectable. And skeletal surveys are recommended for children under the age of two years when there's concern for physical abuse.
