Is There a Hermeneutical Consequence of Chapter Divisions in the Bible?

The way that many modern Bibles are printed conventionally may at least introduce vulnerabilities of a hermeneutical nature in reading the Bible. I'm intrigued by what you've found among very early Christians appealing to such divisions in the context of a debate over the meaning of a passage. Yes, all of our vocabulary as you're noting, language of pericapies and chapters and sections and subdivisions and so on. This is part of the legacy of what these scribes inaugurated or if they didn't inaugurate all of it, they certainly stabilized it with respect to biblical texts and manuscripts.
