The Importance of a Home

I was brought up in a small family, an older brother by about three years and our dad and mum. I can't really put into words my parents' commitment to their two sons,. plus they were amazingly patient with the younger son, that was me. My mother taught us the basics herself when we were small. She made learning, reading and writing and spelling an arithmetic fun. And then she didn't leave me any choice about whether I would study Latin at school. In many ways the old adage is true, isn't it? Home is where the heart is. You have a sense of ease and comfort, not just physical comfort with familiar things, but comfort with people, your
