How to Build a Software Company in Canada
There's a tipping point where you really need to focus on building your product, stop doing whatever other thing it is that you're doing. I think of this as the process of product market fit generally. Then we get into the question of like is this a company? Is there a business model behind this? Can that business model scale? It's not just GitHub stars. Are people coming and contributing to this? Are they actually integrating it when they integrate it into their product? What are the problems they're having and what are the people around them who aren't the technologist saying about the business impact it's having? So it's sort of like a continuous set of tipping points.
