What's Your First Step in a Chord Compression Case?

An 80 year old male with past medical history significant for prostate cancer, hypertension, diabetes. He presents to the emergency room with a three day history of progressively worsening low extremity weakness as well as low back pain. MRI of his L spine done in the ER show bony metastatic lesion at L3 with evidence of chord compression between L3 and L4.
