The Role of Women in the Church
All legitimate translations were done by scholars with theological training and their names are in it because they're responsible, but the watchtower's version nope. You're supposed to marry within the group. The husband is head of the household and that goes through the congregation structure as well. Women do not have authority of any kind and marrying within. So if you marry outside, you're not marrying in the Lord. They may not expel you for that, but it's going to be very difficult for a non Jehovah's Witness spouse to understand all the restrictions. That's why they don't want it.
