What Is AOT Compilation?
Art is built to understand both Dalvik code and machine code. It'll hold off on compiling your entire app with one or many dex files. And it'll wait until those methods are invoked and it'll compile those methods just in time. At least on most Android platforms, so like Nougat and above, those platforms will not compile your app ahead of time.
