The Disadvantages of Anarchism
Stalinism is important to acknowledge there's only one aspect of the process by which the revolution was sidelined and then extinguished. The supposed ideological coherence of Spanish communism can lead to really ridiculous readings of the internal conflicts that took place in the Republic. As long as anarchism remained a revolutionary movement, it could not coexist with communism or so-called communism in Spain. Not for any ideological reason, not for any reasons of sectarianism or anything like that,. It's because the only uniting characteristic and overriding priority of Spanish communism was opposition to the revolution.
