Is There a Universal Principle of the Markets?

When a trend follower talks, they talk in terms of their price followers. We leave ourselves open to profferd opportunity, but we don't know when that profered opportunity is going to arrive. And all the risks we associate with uncertainty, we can't put quantified measures on them because there are so few of these events,. But trenfo's view risk much more widely than just what can be quantified and therefore have this extreme degree of uncertainty about everything. i am not going to assign any confidence in my modelling, but i'm going to protect any adverse event by applying system constraints which would prevent it from happening.
