The Russian Government's Refusal to Recognize Serial Killers
During the time of the Iron Curtain, Ukraine was essentially under a complete media blackout. The state censored any and all news reports about murders. This meant that most people in what is now Ukraine and Russia had no idea about serial killers. People from Czech Republic and people from Slovakia speak entirely different languages but can understand each other totally.
