Do We Need Anything More Than CT?
A lot of the findings on a CT scan actually are, if you can see an embolus in the SMA with actual occlusion there, you don't need anything else. The other really important point of this is these findings highlight a lactemia. You should be talking to the patient's family about an outcome that you're very worried about. And I think that preparation is necessary because these are multi-case hospitalizations.
