Aircraft echo split into two. One part remained stationary about 24 nautical miles northeast of the airport, and stayed there for 2 to 3 minutes. The second part continued on a path that curved to the left from heading three, five zero to two, eight zero. About 77 seconds after the decompression, flight nine, eight one crashed into the forest of ermeninville in France.
