Building a Framework for Learning to Learn

The acronym bridges stood for the seven key learning dispositions or areas that we were looking to support our learners to develop so be was for bravery and offer resourcefulness, I for integrity, G for grit, E for emotional intelligence and S for self discipline. It tied in really nicely with a very famous Isaac Newton quote where he said we build too many walls and not enough bridges. And so we built a framework whereby eventually we had 52 dispositions falling under these seven umbrella letters.
