Is Technology Part of the Solution or Part of the Problem?
There's always room for more efficiency or better mass traps, but the problem is that we need a new way of being civilized. You have to ask ingenuity to what end? Is it more wealth and power? More consumption than destructive force. If we tame technology, for example, I mentioned Bali with electronics. There's nothing wrong with electronics. But if those electronics fit in to a stable, healthy, grounded society, that's one thing. Unless we change our ways, we'll just be slaves to the machine until it breaks down.
