Sally Kohn: The public supports increasing the number of special immigrant visas for our afghan allies. But that is one moment, and we should recognize that there was nothing republicans want more than an opportunity to emerge fears about emigration with fears about terrarism. She says once you make the decision to welcomeAfghan refugees, you've got to defend that decision because otherwise the republicans are going to attack you for it anyway.Kohn: I don't think avoiding it helps. And i think who the messenger is matters a lot hereand one of the things has ben really powerful over the last few days is hearing from veterans who have worked with interpreters in Afghanistan.
