What Motivates You to Work in the Archaeology of East Africa?
Africa is the cradle of humankind. It's where all people on earth can trace their ancestry. But there is often a widely held impression by archaeologists working outside of africa that once homo sapiens emerges and sort of spreads from the african continent around the world, there's this impression of stasus,. rather than change and innovation. And so i just started working in relatively recent periods, in the last ten thousand years of the afAfrican past.
