Is There a Difference Between Appellate Court and Trial Court?
Federal judges have a lot of power. I think that they should exercise it wisely and in the best interests of the public, which, after all, is their employer. It may not be a first mendment violation, but it certainly is a lack of transparency that really undermines confidence in our institutions. That seemes sort of petty and vindictive and unnecessary to me.
