We're Still Working on Detecting a Larger Number of Xo Planets
Close and bigger planets are much easier to detect than farther out, smaller planets. If there's just a little bit of tilt, the close ones might be transiting, but the far ones won't be. It appears that there is a logic like this, a reasonable explanation for why the inner planets of our solar system ar rocky and the outer planets are are gaseous.
