Is There Evidence to Show That Hypergamy Is in Decline?
There's evidence that the decline in hypergamy happens in lockstep with increases in rates of female infidelity. Rates of infidelity for men have remained pretty stable over time, but they've increased by 40% among women in the last half century. But I chair my supervisor is cynicism that the gap of male infidelity versus female infidelity will totally close. So it's still even a huge increase for women, men are still bigger dogs.
