The Future of Cities
Cities used to be the source of a lot of high-paid jobs and so people would migrate to cities because it improves their economic chances. I think our need to interact more intensively is now more important than it was a hundred years ago. Our economy is increasingly dependent on us interacting, not working in a very structured and planned way. The things that will drive the economy over the next 50 years are going to be things that previously we didn't even think about as work or services.
