The Relationship Between Shadow and Persona

The students really get the concept of the shadow. Do they? And they really understand persona without question. The particular group of undergraduates, undergraduate age people I'm working with right now, also relate very well to the idea of trauma and trauma narratives within a family. One of the statements that gets their attention in a very big way is that the biggest influence on a child's life is the unlived life of the parent. Oh, probably basically said this too, but in Jung said it in a couple of different places. They just get really wide. It's almost like you can prototype a self.
