There's an aspirational quality to there's a power fantasy part of it too. We all want to see rich aspirational people on TV sometimes. And we want the power fantasy of like, what if I just did whatever I wanted? What if everybody fell for my thing? You watch it and there is a level of like feeling clever. But in this world of capitalism and celebrity where it's you're so incentivized to have stuff like that to show off,. Those extractive, the extractive financials of it all are seem so much worse than playing fair.
