Is Attachment a Part of Childhood Rearing?
50 percent of everything that you are psychologically is heritable on average so presumably there's a huge heritability component here. People whose brains learned through experience something called an attachment wound through some sort of painful experience your brain learned that it is not safe and it will do anything to avoid that. The oldest client I ever had was 79 years old who came in and said i'd like to fix my attachment okay let's fix the attachment and we did that. You can still continue to change it is challenging those beliefs yes they do come from childhood no they are not set in stone they continue to grow over time.
