In 1997 Jim Watkins met Tom Rydell in a park and told him he was looking for artists to make banner ads for him. He added more and more adult sites to the network helping countless horny Japanese people access pornography that would have been illegal at the time. The website's name, Asian bikini babes did not go over well with people's wives who didn't like it on their credit card statements. In tea technology initially made most of its money selling advertising on an expanding network of websites but eventually expanded into web hosting too.
