When i was about 14 years old, i watched on one of our popular t v channels a dramatized series about the suffragettes and the suffragists. So i had heard the word, but something extraordinary was happening when i moved to leeds. All f these women were murdered by the same man, a serial killer, whom we were later to discover was peter sutcliffe. Sutcliffe murdered 13 women across yorkshire and the northwest of england between 19 75 and 19 80. Mainly in the beginning, he was targeting street prostitute women. He was dubbed fo shire ripper, like his victorian predecessor, jack the ripper.
