The Importance of Having a Clear Voice
I remember having a very clear idea I don't know where I got it from but to create a painting I had to abstract from something that I saw in reality and I just remember finding that very difficult because actually I can draw really well. Time after time I would do this painting that I wanted to be an abstract and it would just end up looking like the darn thing so I wonder how many rules people come to with painting? Part of finding your joy and finding your voice is being able to officially recognize that you're discounting that rule and you can let go of it again.
