Using Avatars to Facilitate Space Exploration

The theme for the avatar movies is using biorebotic avatars to facilitate space exploration, and sometimes exploitation. Being able to control an avatar in a situation where you couldn't be there physically is going to be one of the main uses. Now we have to get past the lag from the distance, but if we can use predictive AI algorithms, then we might be able to do that.
